The terrible effects of war go way beyond the front-line and the war itself

Just came across this heart-wrenching story about an Indian (Kashmir Singh) wrongly imprisoned in Pakistan for 35 years: http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/south_asia/7275351.stm

The Pakistani social worker Ansar Burney was his angel and is doing a monumental job in getting him home. The story just goes to show how Prisoners of War have no clear documentation, treatment and representation especially in countries like Pakistan, North Korea and similar regimes.
